A cash bar will be available. \nNicole Zuraitis\nNicole Zuraitis is a 2X GRAMMY® winning and 6X GRAMMY-nominated jazz singer-songwriter\, producer\, pianist\, arranger\, New York-based bandleader and winner of the prestigious American Traditions Vocal Competition Gold Medal. With a “heart as big as her remarkable voice\,” (Jazz Police)\, Nicole has positioned herself as one of the top artists and “prolific songwriters” (Broadway World) to watch in jazz and beyond\, or as she likes to call it\, The Modern Songbook. \nAs a recording artist\, Nicole has released seven albums as leader\, and her sixth album\, How Love Begins\, co-produced with eight-time GRAMMY-winner Christian McBride\, won BEST JAZZ VOCAL ALBUM at the 2024 GRAMMY® awards and features all original music. She is the only person ever to have won this award who wrote and arranged the entire album herself. Throughout his career\, Mr. Coucheron has worked with Robert Spano\, Michael Tilson Thomas\, Simon Rattle\, Mstislav Rostropovich\, and Charles Dutoit\, among others. He has performed as soloist with the BBC\, Sendai\, and Trondheim symphony orchestras as well as with the Bergen and Oslo philharmonic orchestras. Mr. Coucheron has given solo recitals at Carnegie’s Weill Hall\, Wigmore Hall\, the Kennedy Center\, and the Olympic Winter Games (Salt Lake City)\, as well as in concert halls across the world. His chamber music performances have included appearances at Suntory Hall\, Wigmore Hall\, and Alice Tully Hall. Mr. Coucheron is founding member and artistic director for the Kon-Tiki Chamber Music Festival in his hometown of Oslo\, Norway. Mr. Coucheron’s recordings with his sister\, pianist Julie Coucheron\, include David and Julie (Naxos/Mudi) and Debut (Naxos). He is also the featured soloist in Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s recording of Vaughan Williams’s The Lark Ascending\, released on ASO Media in the fall of 2014. Mr. Coucheron holds degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music\, The Juilliard School\, and the Guildhall School\, and his teachers include Igor Ozim\, Aaron Rosand\, Lewis Kaplan\, and David Takeno. \nJulie Albers\, cello\nCellist Julie Albers is recognized for her superlative artistry\, her charismatic and radiant performing style\, and her intense musicianship. Born into a musical family in Longmont\, Colorado\, she began violin studies at the age of two with her mother\, switching to cello at four. She moved to Cleveland during her junior year of high school to pursue studies through the Young Artist Program at the Cleveland Institute of Music\, where she studied with Richard Aaron. Ms. Albers soon was awarded the Grand Prize at the XIII International Competition for Young Musicians in Douai\, France\, and as a result toured France as soloist with Orchestre Symphonique de Douai. \nMs. Albers made her major orchestral debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at the age of 17 and thereafter has performed in recital and with orchestras throughout North America\, Europe\, Korea\, Taiwan\, Australia\, and New Zealand. Past seasons have included performances with the symphony orchestras of Colorado\, Grant Park Music Festival\, Indianapolis\, Munchener Kammerorchester\, Rochester\, San Diego\, Seattle\, Vancouver\, and St. Paul Chamber Orchestra among others. In 2001\, she won Second Prize in Munich’s Internationalen Musikwettbewerbes der ARD\, and was also awarded the Wilhelm-Weichsler-Musikpreis der Stadt Osnabruch. While in Germany\, she recorded solo and chamber music of Kodaly for the Bavarian Radio\, performances that have been heard throughout Europe. \nMs. Albers was named principal cellist of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra in 2015\, a position she currently holds. In addition\, she regularly participates in chamber music festivals including ChamberFest Cleveland\, La Jolla SummerFest\, Rome Chamber Music Festival\, Seattle Chamber Music Society\, and Toronto Summer Music. 2009 marked the end of a three year residency with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two. Teaching has also held a very important place in Ms. Albers’ musical life from the age of 12 when she started teaching her first students. She held the position of Assistant Professor at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University in Macon\, Georgia from 2009-2022. \nMs. Albers’ debut album with Orion Weiss includes works by Rachmaninoff\, Beethoven\, Schumann\, Massenet\, and Piatiagorsky and is available on the Artek Label. Julie Albers performs on a N.F. Vuillaume cello made in 1872. \nJulie Coucheron\, piano\nBorn in Oslo\, Norway\, Ms. Coucheron began playing the piano at age four. She earned her Bachelor and Master’s Degree with honors from the Royal Academy of Music in London. At a young age\, Ms. Coucheron had already established an international career\, winning awards and prizes in Italy\, Germany\, UK and in the United States. \nMs. Coucheron has worked with musicians such as Claude Frank\, Emanuel Ax\, Chee-Yun Kim\, Christopher O’Riley and Yo-Yo Ma and has toured Europe\, America\, South America and Asia\, performing regularly in halls like Verizon Hall\, Wigmore Hall\, the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. Ms. Coucheron has performed with the Norwegian Radio Symphony Orchestra\, Oslo Philharmonic\, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra\, Jena Symphony Orchestra\, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra\, Atlanta Philharmonic and the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra in Kiev. \nMs. Coucheron regularly performs at festivals such as the Oslo Chamber Music Festival\, Bergen International Music Festival\, Amelia Island Music Festival\, Madison Chamber Music Festival\, Juneau Jazz and Classics and at La Jolla Summer Fest. She is Artistic Director of the Fjord Cadenza festival in Norway\, the Kon Tiki Chamber Music Festival in Oslo\, Norway and Georgian Chamber Players in Atlanta\, GA. In addition\, Ms. Coucheron also performed during the 2003 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City\, Utah\, and at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. \nMs. Coucheron enjoys a close collaboration with her brother\, the Concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony\, David Coucheron\, and together they have released two recordings\, ‘Debut’ and ‘David and Julie’ on the Naxos label. \nIn addition to her busy concert schedule\, Ms. Coucheron is a sought after teacher and pedagogue. In August 2014\, she was appointed Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University in Atlanta\, Georgia\, one of the top 50 state schools in the United States. Ms. Coucheron has given masterclasses and taught at schools such as the New England Conservatory\, Emory University and Mercer University. \nMs. Coucheron enjoys a various and wide range of styles and repertoire emerging from her highly trained classical background to the more contemporary and popular music. Recent collaborations include performances with the Steve Miller Band and Elton John. \nElizabeth Pridgen\, piano\nPianist Elizabeth Pridgen has distinguished herself as a soloist and chamber musician. Named Artistic Director of the Atlanta Chamber Players in 2014\, she has led the group in performances of both new and standard chamber works to critical acclaim. Ms. Pridgen made her major orchestral debut with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Spano and recently released three albums including Icons with violinist Robert McDuffie featuring works of John Corigliano\, Philip Glass\, and John Adams. An advocate of new music\, Ms. Pridgen has participated in the commissioning of works by noted composers such as Adam Schoenberg and Michael Gandolfi and supports underserved composers through her leadership of the Rapido Composition Competition. Ms. Pridgen has toured extensively throughout the United States\, Mexico and Europe and performs regularly at festivals including the Rome Chamber Music Festival in Rome\, Italy\, the Aspen Music Festival\, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival\, the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival\, the Madison Chamber Music Festival and the Kon-Tiki Chamber Music Festival in Oslo\, Norway. An avid chamber performer\, she has been a member of the Cortona Trio and Georgian Chamber Players. Ms. Pridgen served as a Distinguished Artist and Piano Chair at the McDuffie Center for Strings and held the G. Leslie Fabian Piano Chair at the Townsend School of Music at Mercer University for more than 10 years. She received her Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School where she studied with Joseph Kalichstein and earned her bachelor’s degree at the Peabody Conservatory of Music as a student of Ann Schein. Ms. Pridgen currently resides in Milton\, Georgia with her husband and three young children.

He performs recitals throughout the United States with his longtime duo collaborator\, pianist-composer Michael Stephen Brown\, and recent appearances have included Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall\, the Four Arts in Palm Beach\, New Orleans Friends of Chamber Music\, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center\, and Wolf Trap near Washington D.C. \nMr. Canellakis is an artist of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center\, with which he performs regularly in Alice Tully Hall and on tour internationally\, including London’s Wigmore Hall\, the Louvre in Paris\, the Seoul Arts Center in Korea\, and the Shanghai and Taipei National Concert Halls. He is also a regular guest artist at many of the world’s leading music festivals\, including Santa Fe\, Ravinia\, Music@Menlo\, Bard\, Bridgehampton\, La Jolla\, Moab\, Chamberfest Cleveland\, and Music in the Vineyards. He was recently renewed as the artistic director of Chamber Music Sedona in Arizona\, where he has made a major impact through his dynamic programming and educational and community outreach. \nMr. Canellakis’ latest album (b)romance\, featuring some of his original compositions and arrangements\, was released by First Hand Records in 2023 and has received over one million streams on Apple Music. \nFilmmaking and acting are special interests of Mr. Canellakis. He has produced\, directed\, and starred in several short films and music videos\, including his popular comedy web series Conversations with Nick Canellakis. His latest films Thin Walls and My New Cello were nominated for awards at many prominent film festivals and are currently available to stream online. \nA graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music (’06) and New England Conservatory\, his teachers included Orlando Cole\, Peter Wiley\, and Paul Katz\, and he was a student of Madeleine Golz at Manhattan School of Music Pre-College. \nMr. Canellakis plays an outstanding cello by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume\, from 1840. The Concert Truck has also worked with major music institutions such as Rice University and New World Symphony to mentor young artists in community engagement and entrepreneurship. \nSusan Zhang\nAcclaimed as a pianist with “astounding musical authority” (Columbia Free Times)\, Susan Zhang made her orchestral debut at the age of twelve with the Augusta Symphony. She has since been featured as a soloist with the South Carolina Philharmonic\, the Aiken Civic Orchestra\, the University of South Carolina Symphony\, and the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra. She has performed in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre and Woodruff Arts Center as well as numerous other venues in North America\, Europe\, and Asia. Her recordings have been featured on SC Public Radio. \nSusan was a prizewinner of the Thousand Islands Chopin Competition\, the Bauru-Atlanta Competition\, the Burgos International Music Festival Competition\, the Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition\, South Carolina MTNA Young Artist Competition\, and the University of South Carolina Concerto Competition. Her summer festival appearances include Pianofest in the Hamptons\, the Banff Piano Master Class\, Burgos International Music Festival\, the Southeastern Piano Festival\, and Brevard Music Center. \nSusan is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music\, Peabody Conservatory\, and the University of South Carolina. DESCRIPTION:Now in its second year\, the Marasco Young Artists’ Concert gives talented local musicians the chance to perform for Festival audiences\, selected through open application. A cookie and juice reception will be held immediately following the concert\, giving our young performers a chance to meet their audience. \nThe Marasco Young Artists’ Concert honors the memory of Dr. Joe Marasco\, the Festival’s former Executive Director and a passionate advocate for music education and the next generation of musicians. Dr. Marasco believed young performers deserved real opportunities to grow\, perform\, and be inspired by live music\, not just instruction in a classroom\, and this concert was created to carry that belief forward. \nThis free event features performances by outstanding local student musicians and ensembles\, giving them a professional concert platform many young performers rarely have access to: a real stage\, a real audience\, and the same setting the Festival offers its professional artists throughout the season. For these students\, it’s a chance to test their artistry in front of a community that genuinely wants to see them succeed. \nThe concert reflects a core part of the Festival’s broader mission: supporting young artists through performance experience\, exposure to classical music\, and connection with mentors and peers who can help shape their development. Please join us immediately following the concert for an artist’s reception at Amelia Art Studio.  \nSince its inaugural season\, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival has recognized the vital role of music education in shaping the next generation of artists. What began as masterclasses and mentoring through our Young Resident Artists program has evolved into one of our signature educational initiatives: the annual Christopher Rex String Seminar. \nEach year\, we invite exceptional string students from the nation’s top conservatories and universities to join us as Beth Newdome Fellowship Artists. This year\, student quartets from universities and conservatories around the country will spend an intensive week in Amelia Island receiving direct mentorship\, training\, and career development sessions from the American String Quartet\, working side by side with one of the most experienced ensembles in the country. Our Beth Newdome Fellows for the 2027 String Seminar will be announced in spring 2027. \nTheir training culminates in a series of public performances\, including community outreach concerts and this highly anticipated Festival Finale Concert.
