At just one hour\, this casual concert is perfect for seasoned concertgoers and first-time listeners alike. Two identical performances are offered at 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM\, so choose the time that works best for you.  \nAmerican String Quartet\nPeter Winograd\, violin\nLaurie Carney\, violin\nMatthias Buchholz\, viola\nWolfram Koes­sel\, cello \nInternationally recognized as one of the world’s finest ensembles\, the American String Quartet has spent more than four decades cultivating the rich\, luxurious sound for which it is renowned. Since its founding\, the Quartet has performed in all fifty states and appeared in the world’s leading concert halls. Its acclaimed performances of the complete string quartets of Beethoven\, Schubert\, Schoenberg\, Bartók\, and Mozart have earned widespread praise\, and its celebrated recordings of the complete Mozart string quartets on a matched set of Stradivarius instruments are considered benchmarks of the repertoire. \nEqually committed to innovation\, the Quartet has collaborated with National Book Award-winning author Phil Klay\, poet Tom Sleigh\, novelist Salman Rushdie\, and composer Paul Cantelon in multidisciplinary performances that combine music and literature.
